About Me

Howdie!

I'm Cheryl and I'm a lot of things
And a lot of different things to different people.

For one year, I've been a homeowner
Ten years, a graphic artist
25 years, a parent
35 years a photographer
45 years, an illustrator, sewist, crocheter
50 years a sister
55 a daughter

I'm a lover, a therapist, a tax advisor, nutritionist, nurse, tour guide, chef, chauffeur, a friend. I've been a nanny, housekeeper (really, don't laugh!), farmer, salesperson, bookkeeper, student, model, yoga instructor, travel agent, newspaper reporter, bus driver, Scout leader, coach. Some call me Compost Queen, a dubious honor for sure, but it keeps my garden happy.

I'm finicky about tax and copyright laws, coffee and wine, depending on the hour and the audience.

I like to blog, hike, geocache, garden, cook. i really like to cook what I've grown, but that's a toughie in the American Southwest Desert. I'm working on a cookbook of family favorites so my adult children don't starve. The home I own is quaintly referred to as "vintage," but it's a project for sure.

I think I missed a few things. I go through phases. Right now, I'm in my fridge magnet phase, decorating a refrigerator with twinchies (two-inch pieces of art) made of collages, zentangles and/or watercolors. I also make greeting cards, but I have yet to set up an outlet to actually sell them. That'd be nifty, huh?

I like to think I'm passionate, funny, creative, outspoken, serious, charitable and exceptionally blessed.
Opinions may vary. It may be the wine.
